Q1.I saw one tool say my brand has 73% AI visibility. What does that actually mean and should I trust it?
AI model outputs are probabilistic. The same prompt run 100 times produces 100 different responses. SparkToro and Carnegie Mellon University research published in January 2026 found less than a 1-in-100 chance that ChatGPT or Google AI will produce the same brand recommendation list twice across 100 identical runs. A point-in-time visibility score is a single draw from a probability distribution, not a stable measurement. What makes a score credible is prompt volume (how many times the tool runs each prompt before reporting) and whether it reports mention frequency over time rather than a snapshot. Ask any vendor: how many times do you run each prompt before reporting a score?
