Link Equity
Link equity is an SEO name for the value a link passes to the page it points to. People also call it link juice. Google's own documents talk about ranking credit. In 2019, Google said site owners can mark a link nofollow when they want to link to a page without endorsing it or passing along that credit.

What Link Equity means for your business
No tool can show you how much credit a link really passes, because Google doesn't publish it. The idea comes from PageRank, which has its own entry, and the tags that hold credit back are in our nofollow entry.
What you can control is where the credit ends up. If the same page loads at more than one address, Google's canonical guide says naming one main address helps it gather the links to every version onto that page. When a page moves or gets deleted, a permanent redirect to its closest match keeps outside links pointing somewhere useful, and our 301 redirect entry covers how.
Inside your site, we'd follow the outside links in. Find the posts and pages other sites link to, then add a link from each one to the service page it's really about, in the text where a reader would want it. If other sites link to your blog but your service pages sit quiet, connecting the two is something we'd look at early.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, both answers gave link juice as another name. Google's AI Overview cited SEO agency and tool blogs and said flatly that only standard links pass it, which is firmer than Google's own word on hints. ChatGPT cited no sources.
