Large Language Model (LLM)
A large language model, or LLM, is a kind of AI that writes by predicting the next word or part of a word, again and again, until it has an answer. Google's machine learning course says LLMs are trained on huge amounts of text, can hold hundreds of billions of settings called parameters, and often make mistakes.

What Large Language Model (LLM) means for your business
LLMs are what AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini run on. For a business, the useful question is where an answer about you comes from. Sometimes the AI answers from what it learned in training. Sometimes it searches the web first and reads pages before it writes.
An LLM learns from the text it was trained on, so if that text is out of date, it can tell an old version of your story, like hours you've changed or a service you dropped. And because it predicts words instead of looking facts up, it can get a fact wrong and state it plainly. Google's course calls these mistakes hallucinations.
We'd work on both paths. For what the AI learned, we'd make your facts plain and the same on your site and everywhere else you're listed. For what it finds when it searches, we'd make sure AI crawlers can reach and read your pages.
If ChatGPT gets your business wrong or leaves it out, helping AI tools get your facts right is what we'd work on.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, Google's AI Overview gave a plain definition and cited Wikipedia, university help pages, IBM, Microsoft and YouTube. ChatGPT answered without sources, with a similar definition and a note that it can give confident wrong answers.
