People Also Ask
People Also Ask is a box in Google's search results that lists questions related to what someone searched. Google's own documentation calls it a related questions group. When a person opens one of the questions, Google says it shows a featured snippet: a short piece of a website that answers that question, with a link.

What People Also Ask means for your business
In six "what is" searches we ran through our data vendor, DataForSEO, on October 29, 2026, the box showed every time. In five, the vendor's data marked the opened answers as AI Overviews rather than featured snippets. So on some searches, the answer under a question may be written by AI.
Either way, the questions show what people wonder about next, in their own words. We'd look at them for the searches your buyers make, keep the ones that fit your business, and answer each on the page where it belongs.
If Google shows questions about your trade that your site never answers, answering the questions buyers ask next is where we'd start.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, Google's AI Overview described the box and cited SEO tool makers, SEO blogs and YouTube, not Google's own pages. ChatGPT gave a plain definition with SEO tips, showed one image from an SEO blog and listed no sources.
