Google Shopping Graph
The Google Shopping Graph is Google's live collection of product information: names, descriptions, prices, images and reviews. Brands and stores send product details to it through Google Merchant Center and Manufacturer Center, and Google uses it across Search, ads, YouTube and its AI features to help people find and compare products.

What Google Shopping Graph means for your business
In January 2026, Google's CEO Sundar Pichai said the Shopping Graph holds over 50 billion product listings, with more than 2 billion refreshed every hour, and that it came to the Gemini app in 2025. Google's e-commerce guide names two ways to share product data and recommends using both: structured data on your product pages, and a product feed in Merchant Center. The feed gives you more control, and the page markup helps Google check the feed against what shoppers see. We'd start by making sure prices and stock match between the two.
Some SEO guides call each item a product entity: one specific product that Google can tell apart from similar ones. Merchant Center's help says unique product identifiers, like a GTIN (the number behind a product's barcode), brand and model number, help Google understand what you're selling, and that products with none are hard to classify. So we'd fill in brand, model and GTIN wherever a product has them.
If AI shopping answers name a rival's product when someone asks for exactly what you sell, making your products and brand clear across the web is the work we'd add.
