Amazon SEO

Amazon SEO is the work of helping your products show up higher when shoppers search inside the Amazon store. Amazon's own seller guide describes it as a set of steps, like researching keywords, writing them into product titles and descriptions, improving photos and adjusting prices, so a listing moves up in search results without paying for ads.

What Amazon SEO means for your business

Amazon's guide names the parts you control. There's the title, the bullet points and the description. There are back-end search terms shoppers never see. And there are your photos and your price. Amazon recommends titles of no more than 60 characters and warns that stuffing in keywords can hurt your ranking. For finding what shoppers type, it points to Product Opportunity Explorer, and to Brand Analytics for brands enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry.

Since May 2026, Amazon's search bar has an AI assistant built in: Alexa for Shopping answers questions typed there, so a shopper might ask what to buy instead of typing a product name. We'd write listings for both, the words people type and plain answers to the questions they ask.

We'd only put Amazon in the plan if your buyers already shop there, and that's a call we'd make business by business. If you're comparing Amazon with the AI tools people ask before they buy, our numbers on AI search traffic show how many visits each tool sends to websites.
