QAPage Schema
QAPage schema is code that marks a web page as one question followed by answers from its users, like a forum thread or a support page where customers reply. Google's Q&A guide says users must be able to submit answers, and that the markup doesn't fit an FAQ a business writes itself, a blog post or a how-to guide.

What QAPage Schema means for your business
Q&A results are still on Google's list of supported features, and in March 2026 Google added fields so it can follow the replies in a comment thread. Google says marked-up pages can get a Q&A rich result, and that when the rich result doesn't show, the answers may still appear in the regular result.
A typical small business site may not have a page it fits. Questions you answered yourself on a services page make an FAQ, and so does a help page your team writes. Google also says to keep it off pages with several questions and off pages used for advertising. It fits a community board, or a product support page where customers post answers to one question.
If you run a page like that, we'd mark up each thread on its own and put the full question and every full answer in the code. Google says not to add the markup to every page of a forum when some of them aren't questions, so we'd leave those out.
If customers answer each other's questions on your site and search never shows those answers, a look at how those pages are built and marked up is a good first step.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, Google's AI Overview cited Google's Q&A guide in German alongside SEO blogs and got the users-must-answer rule right. ChatGPT cited only Schema.org and said FAQ results still show for government and health sites, which Google ended in May 2026.
