sameAs Array
A sameAs array is a list of web addresses inside a page's schema markup, each pointing to another page about the same person or business. Schema.org defines sameAs as a link to a page that clearly shows who the item is, like its Wikipedia page, its Wikidata entry or its official website.

What sameAs Array means for your business
Array just means the list can hold more than one link. Google's Organization markup guide lets you list several sameAs URLs, and its examples are profile pages on social media and review sites. For a local business, we'd list the profiles that belong to you: your Facebook and Instagram pages, your LinkedIn company page, your Yelp listing, and a Wikidata entry if you have one.
We'd leave out any page that isn't about you alone. A news story that mentions you, a partner's site or a directory page that lists every plumber in town doesn't belong, since schema.org asks for pages that plainly identify the item. We'd also check that every link still works and that each profile spells your business name the way your site does.
If ChatGPT or Google treats your Instagram account and your website like two different businesses, showing that those accounts all belong to you is something we'd set up early.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, Google's AI Overview linked schema.org but cited agency and schema tool blogs, and called sameAs a main input for knowledge panels, something we couldn't find in Google's own guides. ChatGPT cited no sources and gave an example built on social profiles.
