Wikidata QID
A Wikidata QID is the ID number Wikidata gives each item in its free database of facts: the letter Q followed by digits, like Q42 for the writer Douglas Adams. Wikidata says the QID helps people and software tell apart things with the same or similar names, like the several places called London.

What Wikidata QID means for your business
Every Wikidata page shows its QID in parentheses next to the item's name at the top, and the same number ends the page's web address. From a Wikipedia article, open the Tools menu and pick "Wikidata item" to jump there, or "Page information" to see the ID listed. Kinds of things have QIDs too, not just single ones. Restaurant chain is Q18534542, television series is Q5398426, and television producer is Q578109. To find others, search wikidata.org for the name and read the short description under each result, since close matches sit side by side. Restaurant chain shows up right next to restaurant chain location, for one.
A plain name can point to many things, but a QID points to one item. That's why schema code on a website can point to a Wikidata address like wikidata.org/entity/Q180711 instead of hoping a name gets read the right way. Our own site does this: its schema says we work on search engine optimization and links that topic to Q180711.
Your business gets a QID only if it gets a Wikidata item. We'd check first whether you already have one, and whether it's really you and not a business with the same name. If it is, its address goes in the sameAs list in your schema. If the links in your site's code point to a record or profile that isn't really you, checking where each one leads is one of the first things we'd do.
