For You page
The For You page, or FYP, is TikTok's main feed: a stream of videos TikTok picks for each viewer, including from creators they don't follow. TikTok calls it the For You feed. Its support page lists what goes into it, including the videos you like, share, comment on, and watch in full or skip, plus a video's sounds and hashtags.

What For You page means for your business
The feed and TikTok's search bar catch people at different moments. TikTok's help page files its search bar under a heading called Discovery, yet the feed is where people find new things without searching at all. In the feed, nobody asked for anything, so TikTok works from what the viewer has done before. TikTok also says it mixes in creators and topics outside a viewer's usual interests on purpose, and that it usually doesn't show videos a person has already seen.
TikTok's 2020 explainer said bigger accounts may get more views because they have more followers, but that neither follower count nor past hit videos are direct factors in the For You system. TikTok also has separate rules for what can be recommended in the feed, so a video can stay up and still not be shown there.
We'd plan each video to work in both places: the caption and opening seconds name the buyer's question for search, and the rest keeps people watching. We'd skip tags like #fyp, since they say nothing about what the video covers.
If strangers see your videos in their feeds but nobody finds you when they search TikTok for what you do, making those videos easy to find in search is where we come in.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, ChatGPT listed your own searches among what feeds the For You page; TikTok's For You list doesn't name them but says activity anywhere in the app can count. Google's AI Overview cited dictionaries and tool blogs, and said #FYP doesn't guarantee a spot.
