Person Entity
A person entity is a real person, like a business owner, author or expert, whom Google treats as one thing with its own facts in its Knowledge Graph. The phrase is SEO shorthand. Google's help pages talk about people in its Knowledge Graph and the knowledge panels about them, which the person or an official representative can sometimes claim.

What Person Entity means for your business
When the owner is the face of the business, we'd expect some buyers to look the owner up by name. So we'd check what Google shows for that name, and whether it's plainly the same person who runs your business and not someone else who shares it.
Creators, the people who make videos, podcasts or posts under their own name, are person entities too. Some SEO writers call them creator entities. The work is the same: one name, written the same way, on a bio page you control and on every profile you keep.
Google's help page for individuals says you claim a knowledge panel by signing in to an official site or profile, like YouTube, Search Console, Twitter (now X) or Facebook, and that not every panel can be claimed yet. So we'd make sure those profiles exist, use your real name and link to your bio.
If AI answers mix you up with someone who shares your name, or don't connect you to the business you run, making it plain who you are and what you run is the first job we'd take on.

How AI answers it today
On October 29, 2026, Google's AI Overview took it as the legal phrase 'person or entity' covering people and companies, citing law dictionaries, a government FAQ and Wikipedia. ChatGPT treated it as a database record and cited nothing; neither mentioned search.
